To the citizens this is for all the marbles, a yes vote on the health-care bill and its passage will end America as we have known it. They're not just reforming health-care is a social reform pay attention" it is a social reform platform that will lead us to a single pair system before long. The Democratic Progressive Socialist are in charge and refused to hear the people. I am asking you as one citizen to another do you like free enterprise? Do you like to choose for yourself or make your own choices in other words? If the answer is yes you must contact your representative from your district and let them know you are opposed to this Socialist Progressive radical takeover of health-care and Progressive social change that we were not expecting. When I mean by social change socialistic behavior elitism redistributing of the wealth of the country. I personally do not have to much of a problem with health-care reform I know we need some kind of change but this is just too large and it does many things that is not good for the country or it citizens like taking our rights to choose. A fundamental right we have under the Constitution there trying to rewrite the Constitution or destroy it and replace it with a democratic Progressive Socialist democracy which will in slave us all. Don't let them get away with this Progressive agenda is maybe our last chance" Funding growing Government in preparation for the one pair system don't think that's not their agenda and goal. They're doing everything in their power to pass this bill by hard-core crook or any means necessary to make it social Progressive radical change, and redistribute the wealth. I read a book the other day about communism guess what I found Progressive change socialistic change and redistributing the wealth very interesting indeed. Don't believe me read at your local library about Communists and you'll see what I'm talking about. I wanted change in this country but not a socialistic regime taking away our rights to choice and are freedoms. This bill if it passes is the first step in their agenda to transform America from a republic to a Socialist Progressive society. So please write your representative or e-mail them and tell them to vote no on this bill or any other parliamentarian trick the Democratic Progressive leader of the house will play to win the end game. This is serious for us all and our future Frank Edward Blanchard a concern citizen

Phillip D. K. Just like you " I respect other People's opinions in their writing. First off I am not a Republican nor a Democrat I am a independent like the majority of the country. however you may disagree that the majority out there are independent, You must agree the status quo doesn't work nor does" in action? You may be right this president in his arrogance has pushed an agenda, and of course ignored the jobless rate rising. However that may change shortly. Along with his intelligent arrogance. It really doesn't help. Something has to be done, with health-care, level thinking not a large overwhelming Government growing entitlement. Health-care not Government growth. Nothing that Government ever entitled as work properly, why do one think that this would be any different. It would cost more and never get the job done anyway. Starting over could very well get something is accomplished that are necessary now not in 2014 as proposed in the bill. It's like buying shoes paying for them and getting them years later? Does that rarely make sense? Of course this is only my opinion which I have plenty of, this country is great and will survive this mayhem no matter what everyone thinks. In less you believe in 2012 that the Earth will have some up evil and End like the calendar from the Aztec culture. I personally believe we will survive, no matter what the human race will carry on. Just remember without diversity it would be really boring out here in the real world. Again I say prosper life is what you make it. So Strive to Persevere

Every Friday I see dedicated Tea Party People standing across from Walmart, waving the flag. While I respect that kind of dedication and civic involvement, I also respectfully disagree with them on several main issues. The Tea Party is wrong on (((FIRST ISSUE))) Health Care -- they oppose Congressional health care reform, even though there are several strong reasons to support it from their point of view: _(One)_ The primary factor driving future budget deficits is out of control health care costs. One thing that can not be denied or argued with: if we fail to contain health care costs, then it will be almost impossible to prevent exploding future budget deficits or bankrputcy. _(Two)_ It's deficit neutral, so it does not add to future deficit, and returns the United States gov't to the "pay-as-you-go" system that led to us having a budget surplus under Clinton. _(Three)_ If health care costs are not controlled, the costs in the private sector will also be unbearable. More companies, like GM will be bankrupted in large part because of health care costs. And fewer and fewer companies could even afford to provide health care to employees. _(Four)_ If the United States paid less for health care, more in line with what other advanced countries pay for their health care systems, research has shown definitively that we would run budget surpluses! For example, if we had the same per capita costs as Germany, Canada, and Spain, we would be projected to run enormous surpluses, equal to 0.13 percent of GDP by 2050. So there is no intellectually coherent or intellectually consistent reason for the Tea Party to oppose health care reform when one of their main causes is gov't spending running huge deficits. (((SECOND ISSUE))) We need more spending right now, not less. The number one scandal is the lack of gov't spending that could alleviate the huge unemployment numbers. Workers (Americans) are suffering right now, and it has been figured out that by the time employment picks up in 2012, American workers will have lost $1 Trillion in lost wages that will never be made up. To put this number in perspective, the estimated lost wages and salaries exceed – by about $150 billion – the CBO’s estimate of the full ten-year cost of the health-care reform bill that recently passed in the House of Representatives. Shamefully, we hear Tea Party accolytes and a few extreme republicans decry the huge deficit and "out of control gov't spending." They don't seem to realize that right now, a larger debt would mean more people working, more people supporting their family, less foreclosures, less childhood poverty, less lost wages that can never be made up. And they don't seem to realize that huge deficits, much larger than what we have today - for example, after WWII -- were paid off quickly when the GDPexpanded (20 years in the case of WWII). (((THIRD ISSUE))) They keep channeling leader Armey's constant call for lower taxes and a less regulated gov't. Heck, just as a quick example, Jesse Kelley, running in Dist 8, actually says on his website that the way to lower costs for prescription drugs is to get rid of the FDA. Does anybody actually believe that would really work!? Problem is, the idea that lower corporate taxes and less regulation is good for the economy and good for the American worker was tried during the last presidency and failed miserably. Our budget and our employment numbers in Arizona are testament to how well those ideas work...or don't work, actually. So for the tea party to espouse those ideas just doesn't make sense. So on each of the major issues, they are just plain wrong. Life will not get better if any of them get elected, and the economy, debt or health care system will get worse if they get elected. Embarrassingly, in the modern world, there is one country that uses their ideas: Somalia. But I doubt any one of the dedicated souls on 4th Avenue want to actually go live there, or even go take a vacation in Somalia and find out first hand how living in an unregulated economy with low taxes and no gov't services feels like. Now, in conclusion, I can disagree with Tea Party ideas and they can disagree with me about how wise or unwise it would be if the gov't spent more money and ran up bigger deficits, but what can't be argued with are certain benefits the current health care reform bill in the United States Senate would bring: _(ONE)_ • the Senate bill brings down insurance rates _(TWO)_ • the Senate bill expands Medicaid, _(THREE)_ • the Senate bill forces insurers to take you on even if you have a chronic pre-existing condition, _(FOUR)_• the Senate bill mandates minimum levels of coverage, _(FIVE)_ • the Senate bill offers the prospect of moderately priced insurance to tens of millions of the uninsured, _(SIX)_ • the Senate bill takes several small but important steps toward reducing the future growth of healthcare costs. These are all good things, in my opinion, and undoubtably would make life better for many people around here in our small, fair city of Benson. So the Tea Party crowd should, if they actually had intellectual integrity, advocate for reform rather than try to stop it. It will lower the federal deficit, be deficit neutral, and stop the big corporations from having so much deleterious power over our lives. It would, in short, "promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" -- two of the very reasons our Constitution was created for. Edward R. Murrow once said that ""Our major obligation is not to mistake slogans for solutions." I hear and read some catchy slogans, and I see very dedicated people giving their time and energy to an honorable cause, but their ideas don't seem to be consistent with their guiding principles. I wish they would go to the library and read the words of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson and get back in touch with the guiding principles of our nation. Thoams Jeffewrson wrote : "I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country." In the modern context, he was talking about Insurance Companies and about Big Pharma. Let's lower deficits, lower costs, improve access, and reign in the control big companies exert over our lives. That's what Adams and Jefferson would be fighting for today. To Promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty. God bless the people of Benson and especially those willing to stand up and fight what needs to be changed. Phillip D

Mr. Frank Edward Blanchard, You have quite a lot to say, and I respect a person with strong opinions. But I have a different point of view to present on several of the issues you write about. First, you said " elections show the democratic leadership [what] the people of the country are really thinking." Well, it showed what a small percentage of the people were thinking. But polls consistently show that a large majority of Americans prefer a public option as part of any health care reform effort -- about 60% yes to 40% no. Too bad the republican party won't allow the American people to have what they think is best. What we all know for sure is that costs are rising faster than our ability to pay for them, so healthcare costs will bankrupt the country if we don't have some kind of reform. Massaschussetts already reformed theirs in their state...too bad they didn't allow the rest of us to try. Second, you say: " I think it's important to the country to have new blood and new thinking in the halls of our Congress and Senate." Well, if you take our local situation as an example, I'd argue the opposite. It appears that term limits have had bad effects, leaving us with a continual crop of under-experienced would-be legislators who actually don't know enough to get the job done; and it appears that term limits have unintentionally given the majority of power over to lobbyists and over to staff members who do know how to get the job done. On the national level, people like Edward Kennedy and Orin Hatch knew how to get things done, and their long experience enabled them to do good things for the country that otherwise wouldn't get done. So I have no problem with keeping very competent and capable people in office. Third, you say "The change we wanted he never delivered." No thanks to the Republican Party that tries to make sure he is unsuccessful in everything he does. They opposed the initial bailouts, they opposed the Stimulus, even after it was watered down and after a full one-third of it was made into tax cuts. They have opposed every effort at health care reform, even though costs will bankrupt our country and make it hard for small and large businesses to compete. it's almost as if the republican party is hoping for failure, almost like they don't support success for Americans. Next, you say: "And start over on a bipartisan basis." You must live in another world than I do. The world in which I live I see republicans, both in the state level and in the national level, that refuse to even try to work with democrats. The Party of NO is what everybody calls them. Last, you close with the nice phrase " Prosperity to all." Funny, if you listen to radio show hosts, or commentators on Fox news, or read anybody with a republican point of view -- even you, who said something about Obama needing to change his domestic agenda -- everything positive is ignored, like it hasn't actually happened: every sign of stabilization in the housing market, every rise in the S&P 500, every TARP repayment. One year ago we were losing 3/4 million jobs a month. Now we are down to 85 thousand a month. That's Good Progress! The financial system was falling over the cliff, and people were saying the word "Depression." Well, banks were saved and are now making tons of money again. Stock market was 3 thousand, now it's back up to 10 thousand. It's almost as if the clouds have parted and the sun is shining again, yet you say how terrible the rain is, how we need a change of weather. I think Obama's domestic agenda has done quite well given the fact that the other party has tried its hardest to make everything he does fail, and watered down all his initiatives. IT's almost like he has had to fight the good fight with one arm tied behind his back. Easy to imagine how things could have worked a lot better if he was supported.

Well there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I guess the social democratic regime sees the light at the end of the tunnel. I am so happy that the midterm elections show the democratic leadership with the people of the country are really thinking. Unfortunately they will understand better when most of them are voted out of office. I personally will enjoy voting against legislators I have no use for and will certainly enjoy removing them from their current job. I believe wholeheartedly that a reform is necessary in the Congress and Senate no more than 12 years consecutive should be allowed. No man should hold that kind of power for more than 12 years. I think it's important to the country to have new blood and new thinking in the halls of our Congress and Senate. What is most important is that 58 percent of exit polling from Massachusetts which has historically been a democratic liberal state, has voted differently to make a very historic realization. They're mad l and will not take it anymore. Just wait for the regular general elections and see what happens. The democratic leadership will be looking for jobs somewhere. I believe If the President of the United States does not change his domestic agenda he will only be a four-year president. The change we wanted he never delivered. We definitely need a balance between the democratic and Republican parties however been a reform idea when the one-way to ensure that. As far as the health-care bill, I hope and pray it gets absolutely gutted and that they go back to the drawing board. And start over on a bipartisan basis. No more strong-arming or pushing the democratic socialist agenda down our throats. And in closing I say in its glory the people of our land has spoken and in the fine tradition of our country to government will listen. Or be voted out of office. I love the true American way. Prosperity to all Mr. Frank Edward Blanchard

Everyone must remember, the Benson newspaper is a small time operation, with small time thinking. They wear several hats however they need to take a lot of that paper their writing" and stuff in the brim so that particular hat fit's? Kind of pinheadedness. However even then it still small town and small time operations with too many hats that don't fit. When the newspaper spins up an issue, in the paper they reserve the exclusive right to edit materiel that doesn't coincide with their issue. Which in its own rights is censorship. I didn't know freedom of speech has been eradicated from our Constitution as of yet. Small town small thinking small operation. The Benson paper can do better, however they will change their rules to fit their agenda what ever that may be. However some of us are still free minded and will oppose many issues that is printed that is being used to stuff them brim's of all those hats they try to wear. There are still many free minded Americans who will oppose many issues" that is their rights under the Constitution. Stick That in Your Hat's and Wear It. a free persons opinion

What an historic day November 7th 2009, the first step in losing our constitutional rights under this new health care bill. I do realize of course that the Senate has a bill of their own and they will combined the two in committee, this may be the last chance to stop this ridiculous bill before we lose our choice's of freedom in the United States. In other words you no longer have the right of choice when it comes to your health care. An appointed bureaucrat you don't know" and quite frankly who don't want" to know you. Will be making decisions for your life choices. Quite a frightening thought because of the fact now under this new bill and health care committee they will decide what you get how you'll get it, and if you are worthy of getting it. In other words lets you expire. I find this all quite troubling. Our children their children and their children children will never know the freedom we enjoyed before this ridiculous enactment of new Social health care. This new Government intends to run our lives and all aspects of it the best way is to control our health-care. To control one's money you only hafe control that person. To control their medications and health-care you control that person. I don't think this is about health-care not really it's about socialistic takeover of our constitutional and rightswe have in joyed. And In the redistributing of wealth in this country? If it makes sense it's not socialist. Anything rational will not be considered by this new regime. They have an agenda to destroy our financial system and our capitalist way of life, and then install their new socialist order. This is there new revolution socialists are in our house. Very scary indeed. I for one seen this coming right out of the gate. So prepare yourself this is going to be a wild ride. Total unraveling of our freedoms from within. Watching history be made. God help you and protects you, because our new socialistic Government will not. Our new socialistic Democratic Government or regime. will make criminals of us all. Just read the new bill five years imprisonment $120,000 fine just for not having insurance. Why would they need to threaten us in this way. To make us take the Pill they want to jam down our throats. We will be able to tell our grandchildren if we live through this, that we knew the time when we were all free. And there was a paper we called the Constitution that we live by. It was in the year 2009 in acted in 2010 the end of all freedom as we knew it in the United States. This is my opinion the way I see it. The last of my free American breed

What has happened to our Great Land? How could this what has happened happen? There is nothing in the Great writings of our Constitution about the Government taking control of health care. Not a word in our great living Constitution" “Not A Word '' We must the people stand UP and stop this Government’s takeover of all free enterprise. And our health care That seems to be their goal. This new regime in power today is indeed systematically dismantling our country" not only financially by also the freedom we have enjoyed from the beginning until just recently. Our New President has no respect for the Constitution of the United States he has said so repeatedly in fact he had said it is an imperfect document. And yet the majority of voters put him in office? Certainly America wanted change" I just don't think they wanted this kind of changes a total takeover by Government bureaucracies. Civil rights constitutional rights are being shredded constantly by this regime. Constitutional powers of our elected officials are also being bypassed. We must as the people stand up and stop this ridiculous agenda of our new President and his thinking. It's not so much what we see, it's the things he does and has been going behind closed doors. i .e. Executive decisions one after another. In which is undermining our Constitution and or civil rights and monetary matters a total takeover of free enterprise. I personally have never seen such a thing as what is going on in the halls of Congress today a total miss balance, sequester and gagging of the opposite party into submission. In all my years as a United States citizen I have never seen such a blatant disregard for the Constitution in the way they do business in the halls of Congress today. This is all terribly upsetting” And also watching history be made in the fall of our Great nation and our civil rights. We the people are the power. We must let all our elected officials know that, they must understand we can and will remove them if they do not act correctly. A patriot is one who loves and would fight for his rights under the Constitution and hold to that Right . Take our country back from the left wing Progressive party.

What is a person's value? and why Does one base their worth on education? Or one's experiences and wisdom gathered through life?. Even if one invested in a great amount of money in a full wonderful education? Is there any guarantee" that their life is worth much value??. According to what I have been seeing and have read, it looks like it's all coming down to the worth of an individual based upon what our elected officials writing legislation decides. Along with an argument of when one becomes a sentient contributing human being in the new American society, or one could say a taxpayer. When does one become a human being?? They are still arguing over that .High Educated intellectuals are still debating on the worth of children until they are aware there is a next day" or tomorrow which makes them a human being. Does that mean that children that are younger are not human being??? Of course according to the pages in the bill on the table in Congress older people are no longer a useful individuals. When did they stop being individuals and exactly what does that mean??? Does that mean they're no longer human beings after a certain age because they're not useful and have stop paying taxes from working??? Does that mean they can not recognize a tomorrow??? And who decides that??And what primarily is their goal. What does it mean for our highly educated doctor's and Government leaders when they say such things as value of life and Judge went that life is no longer useful to our society?? Did they absolutely over educate themselves to lose all humanity from within their own soul's? How can one think this way if they have a conscience, or in other words in good conscience make these kind of decisions. Where does this power come from??? I realize of course that all Governmental Decisions are made without Christianity considered because there is a separation from church and state, I believe the Democratic party and the Republican Party have lost touch with a real American public, their constituents are a small portion of the real population of America. It is simple it's either Republican or Democratic but that is not the case the independents in this country are larger than both the Republicans and the Democratic parties. Nobody seems to hear their complaints no one seems to care they don't matter that's why it looks like the Democratic party recently is ignoring the people. But it's not the Democratic voters they're so angry some are and some are not. But the majority does not want Government Social Health Care. Congress will need to rewrite this bill and get rid of the language that belittles the worth of the human being and their lives. Also amendments to keep American taxpayers dollars from paying for abortions. Also do not insure illegal aliens. Also keep Government from financing private health care options in America. I think" we are all Human beings from the first breath but that come”s from my book. What is the worth of the human life I think it's priceless but that's only my opinion" with fair conscience and considering for all nationalities and creeds. "Lives are priceless". But I learned many years ago Governments don't think that way. They look at us as numbers to feel their coppers with tax money in our lives don't really matter to the Government entity that does not know Christianity. And Government does not earn money it receives it from us. But yet they think it is their money when one retires and asked for their Social Security retirement benefits. And That for some on foreseen reason may keep raising the age it was that was 60 and 64 now 72 One would think they're trying not to pay our benefits or get out of it altogether. Another interesting concept what are you worth?? Are you still an individual at 72. How did our Government get in this condition. Where's the respect?? And it should go both ways" for the people by the people and the Government hearing our Concerns. The Government Thinks they know what is best?? But do they really understand the people??? My opinion I don't think so. I think this new Democratic socialists regime that is now running our country and the White House have missed the boat. What I find is that socialists don't care or one way or the other what the people think. They have an agenda socializing our country. As fast as they can. Whether we like it or not at any cost. With any legislation necessary to socialize our country's health care. But this is only my opinion a self educated individual and I know there will be a tomorrow And worth of an individual is priceless. Frank Edward Blanchard

Read the Constitution of the United States of America If you have not read it lately pleased do, you will find that what the Government is now trying to do with health-care and owning and interrupting business is totally on constitutional. There is no provisions or amendments therein that covers that specifically. The Government is playing a scheme trying to bully their way into total takeover of our country's financial systems and social health-care they want to implement to more control our lives. They have already played a scam on us with Social Security it is the biggest Ponzi scheme I have ever seen. The benefits a few and the majority lose. Looks like smells like a scam to me. If you believe in the Constitution read it like I did carefully call your lawyer and asked them where this power they are wheeling comes from. What gives them the right to totally ruled over us. Nothing but a scare tactic" don't let them get away with this malarkey" we should not allow this country to become a Democratic socialistic union dominating all of us. And the do not take my word for this read the Constitution and the amendments and the Bill of Rights and you'll see what I'm talking about. There is only one thing that can stop these domestic Democratic socialists from dominating our country and our lives. We the people have that power to stop them in their tracts. Before it's too late. That's what makes this country so strong and always will. The power of the people To Take Back Their Government. Looking for a real reform a concerned citizen

Frank, I agree 100%. The government is getting way too big. I would like a much smaller government that wasn't trying to run every aspect of my life. All I was saying before is that what they are doing has been effective. I don't think it was the gov't that took the initiative in this case however. I think it was a bunch of busy-bodies that exerted their political power with their elected representatives. If we are going to reduce gov't influence in our lives we need to do the same thing. We need a lot of new faces in Washington.

With the financial difficulties of today for our local states and counties all in which are looking for any revenue they can come up with or divert. I personally have not seen such Government growth in all my years I guess it's our stimulus package that was the jobs they really intended to produce. Big Government is not the answer just more trouble. I personally asked a Government employee a border patrol officer in Wilcox just recently, whether or not he was going to join the rest of us on this new government plan of health care reform. I received an interesting answer to my question" This gentleman said the Government gives him insurance that will be separate from the one they are proposing. I said well" does that mean that "if you do not work for the Government medically you'll be considered third class under the new health care reform.? I got no response to that last question. I assume this border patrol officer was only watching out for himself. Or was told not to say anything to us citizens about what is about to happen. I've looked at this health care reform carefully we do need a change however socialist medical practices may not work in the United States. They don't work to well in other countries. One can only assume that are elected officials if they have a chance will do the right thing for their constituents. The new health care reform as I see it is all bull hockey and is not good for us.

Now I see locally in Benson that gas stations are being targeted for their tobacco products. I had warned that this would be the reaction to that high tobacco Tax I call communist tax it is unfortunate because some of the people that were hurt by damages to the structures and of course the removal of their goods. Was where I purchased my tobacco products, They certainly don't deserve to be victims. I can only suggest you build steel cages to protect your tobacco products, or stopped selling them all together Because this kind of reaction is going to be just the beginning. Now the criminals that had taken tobacco products will certainly reselling them in an underground network. Today's kids have their own underground network in case law enforcement or parents don't already know that. Tobacco smokers in these desperate times will find tobacco one way or another. I had warned this would be the case, young people have nothing to look forward to in our struggling economy and then we take what stress release they had away from them. So what are you left with civil on rest and criminals getting their tobacco anyway they can. So far no one has been harmed" however that may change after times get more desperate. That tobacco tax was a bad idea that will cost many businesses damages and repairs and it's possible and times get more desperate that someone can get hurt during a robbery over tobacco products mark my words that tobacco tax was a real bad idea. Now we will pay the real cost of the tobacco tax. No one is saying what about the rest of the state how much of this happened throughout the state a lot more than they will tell you. Now that can be interesting to find out how much damage and loss was caused by this tobacco tax. Horrible tax

Barry Quitting smoking is not the problem? What is the problem is giving up constitutional rights" I guess most people don't care, or have their heads buried in the sand? What's next ? Becoming illegal because one is overweight? And forced to have operations that shrinks their stomach's Where well the socialism bureaucracy stopped their attack on our constitutional rights. Freedom of choice freedom of religion and the pursuit of one's own happiness. These are the things that truly concerned me. I will not forget the multitude of individuals of all colors and creed that gave the ultimate sacrifice defending our country. To just allow the socialist left to dictate the rest of one's life. If they have their way they will take all individual rights away from us. Pay attention what is going on. Bureaucracy is growing layer after layer is the biggest growth of government I've ever seen. Socialism America becoming socialist society is not in my book. I may start hanging my flag upside-down. We are definitely under attack pay attention

Frank, That's the whole idea. They keep raising the tax on tobacco to get people to quit smoking. Naturally, the politicians will find something to spend the tax money on, but the impetus behind the movement is to get people to stop smoking. It worked on me years ago, and now it looks like it worked on you.

Interesting concept The Concept of Control. Is quite interesting that everyone from the poorest to the richest think they have things under control. I don't know where Americans get the idea that one can control anything. Law-enforcement think they control most every situation. But that's not exactly true, sometimes their control comes back on them horribly. Well that is just an allusion, there is no such thing as total control. Firefighters think they control a fire just to have it jump beyond their control quite frequently. However were told differently"they have things under control? How many other things in our lives where a tour dates say they have things under control, are not really under any control? The truth is there's only reasonable assumption not total control because there is no such thing. I think we Americans will be finding that out quite soon. Our Government has been saying they have things under control, when in reality is only an assumption. Our Government say they have things under control and in reality they have no idea what they are doing, they are running blindfolded trying to find the doorknob. That would lead us out of this recession in economic debacle. I know the U.S. government just recently with this new administration has decided to control carbon emissions by attaching it too heavy taxes. Interesting concept however total control of that situation is not in the U.S. Government's real power, we only produce three percent of the world's carbon admission footprint. And we will not get any of the developing countries to join us anytime soon. So therefore all this saving the planet is a control concept that has failed right at the jump. It makes no sense because we have a lot of natural gas that can be utilized coal that we could burn to power our nation. But our new administration does not want that. Thereafter total control of carbon admission they will tax prosperity out of existence. Why the rest of the world burns coal also fossil fuel we will be bogged down in waiting for change. Great idea terrible time. This is not the right time in the midst of this recession/economic depression/recession depression/with inflation on the side. How is the U.S. government going to get any other country to conform to cutting down on carbon emissions? There is that total control assumption now how do you think they will accomplish that? With total control of a what? Total control what an assumption that control something totally? How many times have you thought you have things under control just to have them slip away out of control. Just a mind boggle Frank Edward Blanchard

The New Tobacco Tax This is quite interesting rolling tobacco has been taxed completely out of sight. I for one to combat that tax will quit smoking. I am appalled by the new tax, for one I will not pay for someone else to have health insurance, I pay for my own I will not pay for someone else. And I certainly will not pay for health insurance for children that are not mine own. My second reason is that I feel my personal choices have been infringed upon, whether I smoke are not is my business. I am totally afraid that this action of taxing tobacco completely out of sight will only open a nether opportunity for criminals to capitalize on the situation. Unfortunately I am not interested in smuggling tobacco however I'm sure there are plenty their already planning on their first move. People that will not quit smoking will get their tobacco one-way or another. And I would wager they don't pay them silly taxes either. Why don't they tax alcohol 200 percent like a dead tobacco? I've never heard of smoking too many cigarettes cause a terrific traffic accident killing people? If there going to tax the smokers tax nonsmokers as well especially ones that drink alcohol. I for one would like to see alcohol taxed 200 percent as well. And I would feel much better about the tobacco tax. But then prohibition is over. Does this sound familiar do you really think taxing tobacco will make everybody stopped smoking all you'll be doing is creating an opportunity for criminals. More crimes more violence in the streets of America. Of course then we'll need more ATF agents but even that will not stop the flow of contraband. Smokers will get their cigarettes from tobacco bootleggers there's our Government doing their job creating more problems than solving them. So now they created an avenue for smuggling to start in tobacco. I for 1 stopped smoking because of the fact I will not pay that tax. I would rather die then played this socialistic Marxist attitude. I am an American I believe in capitalism and democracy and the Constitution of the United States of America. When any of these are infringed upon makes me quite angry. Careful out there don't turn over the apple cart. Mr. Frank Blanchard PS I am not a socialist I am an American don't play games with my Constitution
